Julia Simpson Since starting Clear Message in 1999, Julia has provided media training for many of the largest companies in the UK & Canada. Clients have included Rolls Royce, BT, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, Barclays Bank, Holiday Inn, the Department of Health, Canadian Western Bank and Scotia McLeod. Charities and pressure groups such as the Soil Association, Children's Society, the Wildlife Trusts and Vision-Works for Schools have also been helped.
Julia's early career was in advertising, until a chance encounter in Hong Kong led to her own radio show! She has worked in both radio and television, BBC & commercial, in news and features. Growing frustration at the constant use of jargon, and the desire to help people communicate more effectively, led her to media training in 1997. An accomplished teacher, Julia now has a PTLLS qualification to add to her CV.
John Howard
John Howard is a familiar voice to Radio 4 listeners. He has presented many of the station's front line programmes such as You & Yours and the Tuesday phone-in: Call John Howard. His TV credits include BBC 2's legal series: Out of Court and their environment programme Nature.
John has also worked for Sky Business New, BBC World TV and fronted corporate programmes for companies such as Sainsbury's, BP, Equitable Life, Rank Zerox and Midland Bank. With years of broadcast experience behind him and a calm, reassuring manner, John is both a perceptive journalist and an excellent media trainer.
