Success with the Media
If you can persuade the media about the benefits of your organisation or product, you can persuade anyone and everyone! That's why media training is an excellent way to uncover any flaw or weakness in the content or delivery of your message.
The most memorable thing you can do in a media interview is to speak from your heart. Enthusiasm and passion make us sit up and listen.
In order to speak with enthusiasm you must do the right preparation. You need to understand how to make your points, while also fulfilling the journalist's need for a 'good story'.
A win-win is always possible if you take on board these key points:

- Attitude is everything. Approaching an interview with confidence and seeing a positive outcome will definitely be more helpful than focusing on the possible pitfalls!
- Preparation is crucial. You need only one or two key messages (maximum three). Make them relevant to the audience. Think of memorable examples to illustrate them.
- Delivery matters! Passion, confidence and authority have impact. If something is important indicate that by repeating your point, possibly with a new example.
- Psychology - British journalists are the most cynical and 'assertive' in the world! They can trigger reactions that may surprise and unnerve you. I can help you to explore and shift any negative beliefs which might block success. (More about psychology)
